My Monastic Daily Schedule -- the Horarium

My proper balance between prayer and work is characteristic of a monk's life.
The horarium provides the beam for this balance. The common daily exercises
insure good order in the community and allow the monk to use his time well.
Fidelity to the horarium is a discipline that frees the monk from the extremes
of over-exertion and idleness.
