Course Description and Purpose: Designed in cooperation with Oklahoma Baptist University, to introduce the students to the development and gross morphology of the human body and its systems. Includes laboratory dissection of human cadavers, histological studies, models, etc. Three hours of lecture and 3 hours of laboratory each week. Prerequiste - Zoology.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course the student will:
1.Know common terms used in human anatomy, anatomical facts, and anatomical
principles pertaining to the organization of the human body (5.1)*;
2.Be able to relate the concepts of anatomy to contempory, historical, techno-
logical and societal issues (5.4)*.
Required Texts: Human Anatomy, updated, 5th edition, Kent M. VanDeGraaff and Human Anatomy, Coloring Review Guide, McMurtriel and Rikel.
Evaluation: Grades will be an average of total points earned in lecture and laboratory.
