Prerequisites: No required Prerequisites

Course description: Designed to develop the student's skills in the fundamentals of clay sculpturing. Major components include-the figure, head and base-relief.

Purpose of course: To develop the student's skill in the fundamentals of clay sculpturing.

Textbooks: NONE

Materials: Sculpting Tools Required

Supplemental materials to be purchased by the student

Method of Student Evaluation: By progression

Fee: $50

 

Course Outline:

The student will work from a live model; completing at least 4 pieces during the semester. Pieces will include both nudes and draped.

One outside sculpture is required. Subject matter will be taken from life--animal, bird, mammal, or fish

There will be specific dates to follow when class begins.

 

 

Everyone will participate in a Student Exhibit
